After 40 + years of unhealthy and frustrating yo-yo dieting, I declared “No more!” I discovered intermittent fasting, which is “not a diet but a healthy lifestyle with a side effect of weight loss.” (Gin Stephens, author and intermittent fasting expert). I became an intermittent faster for life and conquered several health problems. I no longer suffer from debilitating pain in my feet due to plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis, depression, or obstructive sleep apnea. I’ve got amazing mental clarity, and all of my health markers – blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and weight – are in the healthy range. AND, I’ve lost 110 pounds! I’m ready to walk with you as you begin your path to wonderful health, unlimited energy and healthy weight loss through developing your own intermittent fasting practice.

I’ll provide education, support, guidance, and encouragement as we work together to develop your own personalized intermittent fasting plan, determine the healthy nutritious foods that work best for your body, and get you on the path to living a life of freedom and contentment.

What is Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting (IF) is simply a pattern of eating in time. It does not dictate WHAT you eat, but WHEN you eat. Every day you eat for a period of time (consecutive hours), and you fast for a period of time. For example, if you follow a 16/8 schedule, you will clean fast for 16 hours, and eat your food within an 8-hour eating window. So at 8 pm you will stop eating for the day and only consume fast approved beverages until bedtime. These include plain water, plain black coffee, plain green or black tea, or unflavored sparkling or mineral water. The next morning when you get up you will resume your clean fast and skip breakfast. At noon, enjoy lunch and continue to eat normally for the rest of the day. At 8 pm you will stop eating for the day and repeat the schedule. And just like that, you have accomplished a 16-hour fast with an 8-hour eating window! There are various IF schedules to choose from, depending on your goals.

Over 40 years of trying, and failing, every diet imaginable, Paige was at her wits end when she found she had dieted her way up to 315 pounds. Gastric bypass surgery in 2000 resulted in a large, but temporary, weight loss.

In 2019, back up to 249 pounds, Paige was finished with diets forever, and began her own personal health and wellness journey. By practicing intermittent fasting she has reached her health and weight loss goals, and is now successfully negotiating maintenance.
